Independent and Active Foreign Policy: How to Keep Indonesia and the Next World Order Moving in the Right Direction

Logo CIFP 2026 New-05.png

Conference on Indonesian Foreign Policy (CIFP) is the annual flagship conference organized by Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) since 2015. CIFP serves as a dynamic convergence where foreign policy stakeholders from across Indonesia and the world come together for intellectually stimulating, inclusive, and inspiring discussions. Over the years, CIFP has earned recognition as “The World’s Largest Foreign Policy Conference,” drawing over 11,000 attendees.

Unlike any other, CIFP has been described as “a cross between a foreign policy conference and a rock concert,” reflecting how rare it is for a foreign policy conference to feature a festive, high-energy atmosphere attended by thousands, primarily young people. By merging grassroots youth enthusiasm with top-level international diplomacy, CIFP transforms foreign policy from an insular, government-only conversation into a dynamic, national civic experience. This year will be the 10th edition of CIFP.

Why Is CIFP Unlike Any Other?

Rooted in the spirit of grassroots engagement, the Conference on Indonesian Foreign Policy (CIFP) brings people from all walks of life together to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful conversations on Indonesia’s foreign policy.

More than just panel discussions, CIFP is an immersive civic experience. From town halls and business forums to gameshows, booths and exhibitions, and diplomacy clinics, CIFP offers a diverse range of activities that bring people together to exchange ideas, engage in dialogue, and discover new perspectives on Indonesia’s foreign policy.

  • DIPLOMACY CLINIC

Modeled after a clinical consultation where specialists meet with patients, the Diplomacy Clinic offers a rare, high-value opportunity to engage directly with Ambassadors in an exclusive one-on-one format. For years, the Diplomacy Clinic has been one of CIFP’s most sought-after flagship features, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, young professionals, and aspiring diplomats alike.

Each participant receives an exclusive three-minute speed consultation to ask pressing questions regarding the Ambassador’s host country, its foreign policy, or its bilateral relations with Indonesia, delivering an interactive, highly personal diplomatic engagement unlike any other.

  • C-SUITE FORUM

The C-Suite Forum is an exclusive, tailored platform designed specifically for C-level executives, business leaders, and high-level industry professionals. This program provides direct access to senior policymakers and world-class experts, offering strategic insights into Indonesia’s evolving economic, political, and investment landscape.

Program Highlights

  • Three Closed-Door Roundtables: In-depth, off-the-record strategic discussions on critical economic and investment priorities shaping Indonesia.

  • Ministerial Luncheon: An exclusive, intimate dining experience with a Cabinet Minister for direct policy dialogue.
